Week beginning the 20th May.
This week in English Owls have been learning about expanded noun phrases and using them to describe a monster from a poem. They have then created their own monster and described that monster using expanded noun phrases. These phrases will be used to create their own poem all about their monster.
In Geography we are learning all about the United Kingdom. We have learnt which countries are in the UK, the seas around the UK, capital cities and some tourist attractions in each country.

This week in PE Owls were learning how to throw and catch using the correct techniques.
In English we have been learning about what a biography is. We have read Roald Dahl's and J K Rowling's biography. We are planning to write our very own biography.
In year 1 Maths we have been learning how to find double and half of a number.
In year 2 Maths we have been learning about the commutative law.
Today we have been learning all about coding. We used 2code on PurpleMash. This program can be accessed from home if children want to practise their coding skills.
