The children all showed their impeccable behaviour as they took part in our Rose Queen ceremony. The Rose Queens looked beautiful and their retinue all looked fantastic too.
The children showed how imaginative they all are as they used a range of recycled resources to make their fantastic creations. They worked cooperatively, shared the different materials and helped each other to add the finishing touches to their models.
The children took some chalk outside and enjoyed various activities. They played noughts and crosses, showing excellent tactical skill, drew pictures and also enjoyed drawing around each other to create unique outlines. Finally the children showed imagination as they decided to compare who was tallest and who had the biggest feet by standing and lying down in each other’s outlines to see if they fitted or not.
This week we have been thinking about the different seasons and talking about what we can see happening in our gardens and around school. We have also been planting sunflower seeds and are very happy to see that some of them have started to grow!
This week, Reception have been practising their throwing, catching and interception skills. Well done Penguins, you worked really hard.
