Admissions

Our Vision:

At Banks Methodist Primary School we strive to follow Jesus’ example and

learn together with resilience and faith.

Through living out our Christian Values we seek to equip our pupils with the resilience to be independent, inquisitive individuals with a love for learning across all areas of the curriculum so that they are able to reach their full potential and flourish to be the very best they can be for themselves, our community and for our wonderful world.  We would like our children to appreciate and nurture our society and be the positive change of the future.

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.

Admission Arrangements

The school's Standard Number for admission into the Reception age group is 10.

Application for admission is done online through Lancashire County Council but if you have any questions or need help applying our Business Support Officer, Miss. Harrison, will happily help you.

A child starts school on September 1st in the academic year of his or her fifth birthday. The LEA will deal with the allocation of places in the event of oversubscription and you will be informed of any reason for refusal and offered an alternative placement.

Prospective parents are very welcome to come and look around school at any time, we would welcome the opportunity to show you our school. If you would like a visit please book an appointment with the headteacher, Mr Draper, by telephoning the school office.

New parents will be invited to a meeting in school to meet the staff and 'Taster Afternoons and/or day' will take place in the second half of the Summer Term.

We have a number of events throughout the year in school and encourage you to bring your children along to these events to get to know the school and the staff before they start.
