English

In English today, we used the Pic Collage App to create similes.

We are using the book ‘The Bog Baby’ and we used the description from the book to draw the Bog Baby. ‘He was the size of a frog, only round and blue. He had boggly eyes and a spiky tail and ears like a mouse’,

We have drawn what we think the creature looks like.

Today, we explored our wonderful outdoor area to search for evidence of the creature that lives in the habitat that we found in our classroom.

Today, we arrived into class to find a habitat. The children made predictions about what might live there.

Our English text this half term is called ‘Toys in Space’. We have sequenced the story and created our own aliens.

Writing exclamation sentences.

This week we have been learning how to identify what group a word belongs to. We learnt songs and raps to help us. Our favourite was the verb rap.

We have been learning about verbs, adverbs and nouns this week. The children have produced some amazing work and they are trying really hard with letter formation and using the handwriting lines.

We came into school to find toys hanging in the classroom. The children made predictions.
