WC 24th May

This term we have been looking at evolution and inheritance. We have been focusing on identifying how animals and plants are suited to and adapt to their environment in different ways. We then designed and constructed our own creatures that had adapted in different ways to suit their environment. The children were able to explain the reasons why they had given their creatures certain features.

WC 22nd March

This term we have been looking at investigating materials and we have been focusing on rocks and soils. We conducted an experiment using chocolate to relate the simple physical properties of sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks. The children loved eating the rocks they had created and were able to discuss the different textures of the rocks.
