Who sank the boat? - 14.06.2021
As part of our theme of ‘adventures and journeys’, Penguins listened to the story ‘Who sank the boat’ and then completed a science investigation. We predicted which objects around our classroom would float or sink and discussed how size and weight can affect this. Then we tested different sized containers to see how many objects it would take to make them sink. We even discovered how not to tip the boat by trying to evenly spread the load! Our natural world - 03.05.2021
This week we have been exploring outside to see which plants and flowers we could find. We have talked about what plants need to help them to grow and have been learning the names of some flowers that grow around our school grounds. We can now identify a daisy, dandelion and bluebell. We even decided to take photos of the flowers and plants that we found and create some simple photographic art.
