Admission Arrangements
The school's Standard Number for admission into the Reception age group is 10.
Application for admission is done online through Lancashire County Council but if you have any questions or need help applying our Business Support Officer, Miss. Harrison, will happily help you.
A child starts school on September 1st in the academic year of his or her fifth birthday. Unless the year group is oversubscribed you will be informed by Lancashire County Council if you have been offered a place on or before April 17th and you are expected to accept the offer as soon as possible. The LEA will deal with the allocation of places in the event of oversubscription and you will be informed of any reason for refusal and offered an alternative placement.
Prospective parents are very welcome to come and look around school at any time, we would welcome the opportunity to show you our school. If you would like a visit please book an appointment with the headteacher, Mr Draper, by telephoning the school office.
New parents will be invited to a meeting in school to meet the staff and 'Taster Afternoons and/or day' will take place in the second half of the Summer Term.
We have a number of events throughout the year in school and encourage you to bring your children along to these events to get to know the school and the staff before they start.
Please read the attached document for our full admissions information.
