This term we have been looking at effective searching. The children were given a list of questions and had to use appropriate search engines for find the answers to there questions. They were then given two contradicting pieces of information on a topic, the children had to use the search engines to find out which piece of information was true. We discussed how to assess whether an information source is true and reliable.
These tasks required the children to read a variety of texts and pick out they key information.
