This week in PE, we focused on our endurance. The children had to work in groups and design their own endurance circuits. After we designed and tested out our own creations, we completed all the various circuits made, testing our endurance by continuing to complete each one for 90 seconds! The circuits were very impressive, the children thought about technique, skills, differentiation and challenge!
Today in PE, we looked at improving the fluency, efficiency, speed and co-ordination of our movements when focusing on sprinting and hurdling. Our main focus was on acceleration techniques and developing a three stride pattern over hurdles.
Over the last few weeks, we have taken part in outdoor activity challenges at our local high school. These challenges were based on both orienteering and problem solving. To complete these tasks, we worked in pairs or within a team. We worked hard listening to various ideas and finding checkpoints using a map! We even won some medals for completing the orienteering course in the quickest time!
