Geography

Mountain Formation - 28.06.2021

This week, we focused on describing and understanding the key aspects of mountains. We conducted various practical activities in groups to model how each of the different mountains are formed, such as: fold, fault block, dome, volcanic and plateau.

 

Mountain Ranges - 23.06.2021

In Geography, we have been learning about the key aspects of mountains. Today we used atlases and longitude/latitude maps to locate various mountains and mountain ranges.

Orienteering Fun - 14.05.2021

Today, we had lots of fun taking part in outdoor activity challenges at our local high school. During the various challenges, we used different maps that included symbols and a key to locate checkpoints around a given area. We used great deductive skills to help us complete the tasks in a fantastic time!
