Welcome to Owls!



in Owls

Owls thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Aquatic centre.  They enjoyed spotting fish from our picture book Flotsam and talking about their colours and some of their names.



Children have been reading a text about the wind, we have talked about the Beaufort scale and different wind speeds.



This week children have enjoyed learning about how instructions are used and have followed instructions to make fruit kebabs with Miss Jagger.



Using scales to weigh different sized objects and learn about weighing objects in grams.   



Children have enjoyed talking about the seasons in Science this week and are conducting an experiment to see how many millimetres of rain fall there will be in a week.  Children have made their predictions and we will find out how much there has been next Wednesday.

Fire Safety in Owls class 

This morning Owls were excited to have a visit from a fire fighter who taught them all about fire safety.  The children learnt a new story about Frances the Firefly and they all had the opportunity to dress up as fire fighters.
